UTXORD Intro
Last updated: October 09, 2023
We set ourselves on a journey to build a marketplace that will from the start support the most sought-after feature in the ecosystem – making parent-child inscriptions for proof of authorship and collections.
Also, following the steps of the Ord team, we brought metadata support since we are already rewiring the inscription envelopes.

But there is more. We believe a marketplace should be social. We think this is important; otherwise, what kind of marketplace is it? Imagine you go to an Istanbul bazaar or your local farmer’s market. If you see everyone obeying a Vipassana, wouldn’t you think it is a little unnatural? That's why we brought you profile pages, comments, and bookmarks (which could be used as likes). Surprised no one else has done this. Even if artists don't always like to talk about their work, the audience very much does and wants to hear from the creators. From our chats with traders, we’ve learned that they feel way more at ease entering transactions if they've talked to the other party first (and found them sane, at the very least).
Who are we?
We came from artistic content. We are rooted in Bitcoin: we've built products on it. We understand Bitcoin cryptography a little; we do not roll it. We've tried to maximize trustlessness and decentralization for UTXORD transactions wherever it makes sense.
Before the Bitcoin era, we built online services for artistic content. If you are over nine hundred years old, you have likely used what we’ve coded back then.

P.S. There's more delicious gravy bubbling up in our stove for UTXORD and for you. But we are keeping that under the lid because we're superstitious. So superstitious that a black cat lives in our office. Here's his photo:
